Rookies Program

Grades 1 & 2 - Co-Ed Team

  • Program Cost $130.00 for Spring Season

  • FEES COVER: field times, goals, balls, field equipment and coaches’ expenses.

  • This is a developmental, non-competitive program.

  • Provides an introduction to lacrosse. Focusing on catching, throwing and cradling.

  • Emphasizes fun and cooperation

  • Practice one day per week. Families will be notified as soon as practice day & time is determined.

  • No Required Equipment. Sticks will be provided, or bring your own!

    • Current membership in US Lacrosse Association required.

Boys Youth

Grades 3-8

Program Cost - $255.00 for Spring Season

Full Uniform $60 (jersey & shorts - pieces can be purchased individually)

Volunteer Requirement - 4 hours for the season or $250.00 opt-out fee.

  • FEES COVER: Indoor field times, game referees, goals, balls, field expenses, field equipment, coaches’ expenses, MAYLA and Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation (WLF) dues.

  • Objective is to learn lacrosse in a positive and fun environment.

  • Focus is on developing: throwing, catching, cradling, offense & defense.

  • Introduction to competitive play.

  • Teams:

    • Boys in grades 3 & 4 are classified as Bantam

    • Boys in grades 5 & 6 are classified as Juniors

    • Boys in grades 7 & 8 are classified as Seniors

  • The season runs from February through June with games starting in April.

  • Practice days & times to be determined based on coach availability. Families will be notified as soon as practice days & times are determined.

    • Practices start out indoors at Brookfield Indoor Soccer Complex (BISC) then move outside to an Elmbrook school or park.

  • Jersey & Shorts are not included in registration fees and can be purchased individually through BLA at time of registration. Fittings for sizing of uniforms will happen early in the practice schedule. Uniforms from the previous season can be used.

  • Games are scheduled both Saturday and Sunday each weekend throughout the season. Historically games have not been scheduled on Mother's Day or Memorial Day weekends.

  • Required Equipment:

    • Current registration in US Lacrosse Association

    • Certified Lacrosse Helmet and Gloves

    • Stick

    • Arm Pads

    • Shoulder Pads

    • Cleats

    • Mouthguard

    • Cup (required)

Girls Youth

Grades 3- 8

Program Cost - $255.00 for Spring Season

  • Teams:

    • Girls in grades 7 & 8 are classified as Seniors

  • Practice twice a week. Days & times to be determined based on coach availability

    • Practice to be held indoors through March then moves outside in April

  • The season runs from March through June with games starting in April.

Boys High School

Grades 9 - 12

Program Cost - $330.00 for Spring Season

Volunteer Requirement - 4 hours for the season or $250.00 Opt out fee 

  • Open only to Brookfield Central and Brookfield East students.

  • Fees Cover: coaches, indoor field times, referees, uniforms, buses, team events, goals, balls, field expenses, Classic 8 and Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation (WLF) dues.

  • Varsity and JV levels.

  • Club level sport at the high school – earns a varsity letter, games and practices on high school fields.

  • Competes in the Classic 8 Conference whose membership includes 19 Varsity and 22 JV teams in southeastern Wisconsin

  • Optional 1 day a week indoor practices begin in January

  • Regular season practices begin on March 4th and run Monday through Friday after school

  • Games are weeknights and some weekends. Home field is at Brookfield Central

  • Busing provided to away games by Brookfield HS Athletic Departments

Required Equipment for all practices and games:

  • Lacrosse helmet - white.

  • Mouth guard of any readily visible color (no white or clear)

  • Shoulder pads

  • Elbow/Arm pads

  • Lacrosse gloves

  • Cleated shoes for outside practices/games

  • At least one lacrosse stick

  • Rib pads (optional)

  • Goalies: throat/chest guard

  • Practice pinnie, shooter shirt, and game shorts are not included in registration fees and can be purchased individually through BLA at time of registration.

Girls High School

Grades 9 - 12

Program Cost - $ 330.00 for Spring Season

  • Open only to Brookfield Central and Brookfield East students

  • FEES COVER: indoor field times, game referees, goals, balls, field expenses, field equipment, coaches’ expenses and uniforms, buses (high school only), Classic 8 and Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation (WLF) dues.

  • Improves on Youth skills. Focuses on strategy and leadership.

  • JV and Varsity levels

  • Club level sport at the High Schools

  • Practices each night after school

  • Games are weeknights and some weekends. Home games are at Brookfield East.

  • Busing provided to away games by Brookfield Central Athletic Department

Required Equipment:

  • Current membership to US Lacrosse Association

  • Stick

  • Protective eyewear

  • Mouthguard

  • Cleats
