Coaching Help
Head Coach
Function: To instruct athletes on the fundamentals of lacrosse in a bun and positive manner. Coaches arrive early to practice and stay until all athletes have been picked up.

Previous youth sports involvement or education helpful but not required

BLA will reimburse Coaches for USL Coach membership and training (Required Level 1).

Ensure good sportsmanship and safe play during games and practices.
Assistant Team Coach
Function: To assist in the instruction of athletes on the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun and positive manner. Assistant coaches arrive early to practice and stay until all athletes have been picked up.

Team Support
Team Parent:
Function: Will serve as liaison between coaching staff, and parents of the athletes. Helps in the distribution of communication between the club, coach and parents to help facilitate a smooth lacrosse season.

Keep the coachs organized by helping to disseminate communication via the website to the team parents and/or players.
Uniform Coordinator:
Function: Organize the sizing, ordering and distribution of uniforms.

Verify all kids have their correct uniforms.
-
Available to answer questions from new parents.

Maintains inventory of jersey numbers assigned to avoid duplicate numbers.

Coordinate sizing & pickup of new uniforms
Volunteer Coordinator:
Function: Communicates with Board regarding Volunteer opportunities.

Ensure each game has volunteers to help in the running of the team, such as clock, scoreboard/ scorebook & culture keeper.

Distribute schedule of opportunities to team parents.

Tracks/verifies all service hours.
Game Day Help
Culture Keeper
Function: Your role is to maintain a positive and sportsmanlike environment around the playing field, with respect to BLA parents and fans.
Scorekeeper
YOUTH PROGRAMS:
Function: The responsibilities include tracking keeping score at games.
Every home game requires that the hosting club provides someone to keep score for each game.

Scorekeeper will need to arrive 15 minutes ahead of time.

Training will be provided for scorekeepers.
HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS:
Function: The responsibilities include the tracking of goals and assists in each HOME game.

Scorekeeper will need to arrive 15 minutes ahead of game time.

Training will be provided for scorekeepers.
Timekeeper
Function: The responsibilities include tracking each quarter, half-time, timeouts, and penalty box for the officials.

Every home game requires that the hosting club provides someone to keep time for each game.

Time keeper will need to arrive 15 minutes ahead of time.

Training will be provide for timekeepers.
Field Liner
Function: Lines (or maintains) the painted lacrosse lines on the designated practice and game fields

Initial lining: With guidance, help to layout the initial lines for a boys/girls field using diagrams, measuring tapes, stakes, and paint.

Line maintenance: Weekly re-trace the existing set of lines with the same color.

Return or store/lock-up the remaining paint and field liner to the designated locations
Equipment Coordinator
Function: Arrive 30 minutes early to games and stays after to assist in field set-up & take down.

Move goals to game position.
-
Set-up scorekeeper table and chairs.
-
Place 5 balls along each end line (10 total.)
-
Place field cones as prescribed by rules.
-
If middle game of the day, insure field is reset with balls on end lines
-
End game of the day, all of the above equipment, including goals need to be put away & secured.

Return or store/lock-up the remaining paint and field liner to the designated location.
